About
Why Talkuza exists
Most people talk at 150 words a minute and type at 40. That gap is a tax on every email, every note, every idea that dies between the thought and the keyboard. Talkuza exists to close it — on the Mac, where the work actually happens.
The idea started from a simple frustration: dictation tools either lived in the browser, charged per minute, or locked the good features behind tiers you had to climb. We wanted the opposite — a Mac app that listens when you hold a key, corrects what you said, and gets out of the way.
Speed is the philosophy. Not speed as a benchmark, but speed as respect for your attention: dictation that starts instantly, correction that never makes you wait, and commands that act in under a second. If a feature slows you down, it doesn't belong in Talkuza.
Your keys, your AI. Transcription and correction run on your own Groq and Fish keys, straight from your Mac. Talkuza's backend never sees your audio, your text, or your keys — and because there's no central AI bill, the price can stay flat: one plan, $2.99/month, whether you dictate ten minutes a day or ten hours.
One plan, honestly priced. No Pro, no Student tier, no per-minute metering, no GST surprises, and no refunds dance — because the price is the price, and the code arrives the second you pay. If that sounds unusually direct, it's meant to be.
Talkuza is built by a small team that uses it every day — to write, to plan, to answer email while walking around the kitchen. The roadmap is simple: make speaking to your Mac feel as natural as thinking out loud. Everything else is a detail.
