Speak — voice dictation
Speak is Talkuza's core: hold Fn, talk anywhere you can type, and corrected text appears. Whisper-grade transcription plus a GPT correction pass fixes grammar, punctuation, and Hinglish on the fly — before the text lands.
Included in the one Talkuza plan — $2.99/month after a 7-day free trial. See pricing · All how-to guides
How to use it, step by step
- Click where you'd typePut your cursor in Gmail, Docs, Slack, Notes — any app, any text field. Talkuza types into whatever is focused.
- Hold Fn and talkHold the Fn key (bottom-left of your Mac keyboard) and speak naturally. Talk while you hold; the pile shows your words as they come in.
- Release Fn to stopLet go and Talkuza finishes the transcript, runs the GPT correction pass, and types the clean text where your cursor is.
- Keep going — or fix one wordDictate the next sentence the same way. If a word lands wrong, select it and dictate the replacement, or fix it in the pile before it types.

Tips that actually help
- Speak punctuation naturally — say “question mark” or just ask a question: spoken questions end with ?, quoted speech gets quotation marks, and enumerations become commas or lists.
- Say money out loud and it lands as a symbol: “two hundred rupees” becomes ₹200, “fifty dollars” becomes $50.
- The GPT correction pass runs on every transcript, no exceptions — it never gets skipped, even for short dictations.
- Teach Talkuza your names and terms in Wordbook and they stop coming out wrong.
- If holding Fn does nothing, check System Settings → Keyboard: “Press Fn key to” must not be set to something else.
